Our Home Inspector

Hello fellow and future Nevadans,

My name is Frank Benzinger. I have been a resident of Las Vegas since 1979.

I was raised on the east coast were I learned many trades in the construction field. Being a General Contractor’s son, I started at a very young age. My areas of experience are: Carpentry (framing and finishing), Roofing, Drywall, Masonry, Plumbing, Flooring, Foundation, Siding, & Insulation. I have an eye for detail in structural and mechanical construction.

Added to this I have been a State Certified home inspector for over ten years. My company motto is “We inspect every home like it’s our own”. This is not just a cliché it is my golden rule and promise to you. I revere my occupation with pride because I know the importance of making sure that you and your family are safe in your home. It is with great satisfaction that I am able to be of service to the many families of Greater Las Vegas.

I am:

  • A past Vice President of S.N.A.P.P.I. (Southern Nevada Association of Professional Property Inspectors) from 2007-2009. Head of Education.
  • An active member of InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors).
  • A Certified Home Inspector in the State of Nevada #IOS 0000243 since 2001.
  • An active volunteer in the public community of greater Las Vegas.
  • State, County, and City Licensed.
  • Insured well above the minimum State requirement for Errors and Omission.
  • Insured well above the minimum State requirement for General Liability.

Being a Property Inspector is not just a trade. It’s a profession. As such it requires constant education in order to keep abreast of the changes in building science. Over the past 10 years I have seen construction materials turn from “State of Art” to “Construction Defects” and the process continues to occur.

The Nevada State only requires the Certified Home Inspector to take 20 hours of Continuing Education Biennially. That is the bare minimum of educational standards (Only 10 hours per year)! When I was in charge of education at SNAPPI I was amazed to learn the majority of inspectors in the industry scramble to get these credits at the time of their renewal. I feel there is something wrong with that. 10 hours per year is inadequate for a property inspector and 100 hours is more appropriate. I have always prided myself to educate and accelerate my profession through experience and education. An Inspector is only as good as how much he knows.
